“This book is full of lies!”

Words that have never been used to describe my Teapot: calm. placid. still.

Words that have been used: feisty. fussy. active. spirited.

Does repeating something over and over again make it true? Or is the truth just showing itself to me over and over again? I don’t want to pigeon-hole Teapot with these kinds of labels, but the girl never sits still. She’s not like her Facebook baby pals, sleeping wherever they are put down. My Teapot wants to be seen and heard.

She’s not afraid to be who she is, either. She doesn’t care that other babies can fall asleep on couches without a peep of protest, or flip calmly through a picture book without freaking out that the pictures aren’t real. (Yeah.) So maybe mom and dad shouldn’t either.
